Saurbær ehf. bought Kraftur frá Bringu in the year 2003. Kraftur is after the honorary prized stallion Gustur frá Hóli and Salka frá Kvíabekk. Þórarinn started then to train Kraftur and they where very successful in the competition track.

You can say that Kraftur is a fourgaited horse but also with pace, because all of his gaits are that good. He got 1st prize four year old. Kraftur was in 1st place in the oldes class of stallion in LM 2004. At LM 2006 he was number 3 in A-class "gæðingar" with total score of 8,92. Kraftur has got a faboulus success in both sport and gæðinga-competition.

Kraftur frá Bringu and Þórarinn won the Icelandic Championship in tölt and fivegait, two years in a row! The years 2006 and 2007. This is one of a kind achievement in the Icelandic horse world.

Þórarinn and Kraftur won the World Championship in fivegait and fivegait combination in Holland 2007. To the rules in Iceland that the horses can never come back, Kraftur was sold to Malin Bonnevier in Sweden. Kraftur has a great home with Malin and her family. Þórarinn has visited Kraftur sometimes and competed with him. They won the Icetölt in Århus, Denmark 2008. They became second in tölt at the World Championship in Switzerland 2009. Kraftur and Þórarinn has got two gold medals and two silver medals from World Championships.

There has been made a film about the relationship between Kraftur and Þórarinn, Kraftur - Síðasti spretturinn. In the film we can see the last months of Kraftur in Iceland, and when he leaves from Iceland, and can not come back. The film got a very good judgement from criticism.
